I’m going to let you in on a little secret…
This top is made out of a table napkin, yes that’s right a table napkin. The original thought was to use it cover my laptop bag but then on a rather crafty summer day I decided it would better serve as a mini top. Making my own clothing is one of those things on my “creative to learn” list that I have yet to pursue fully; I’ve dabbled in production websites for uploading your own designs and have designed apparel for multiple organizations over the last few years but actually creating the structure of a piece is something entirely different. That is where patterns come in… however this cute little top was created sans pattern, in fact I pinned up the entire thing while it was on me and then carefully removed it and just sewed. Such corrupt sewing technique, I know.
